Max De Viet - My Story

I never thought I'd be the one who let fitness slip away. As someone who proudly represented Great Britain in university competitions, training wasn't just something I did, it was who I was.

Then full-time employment and London's financial district happened. Late night client dinners, endless deadlines, and the familiar "I'll start Monday" cycle buried my athlete identity under 35kg of weight and a life that left no room for self-care.

That breaking point led me to book a fitness retreat in Spain, half desperate, half hopeful. That single decision changed everything. Not just the weight loss, but discovering what genuine transformation looks like when you have the right environment and support.

My own 35kg transformation showed me the power of stepping away from daily distractions. But I also watched too many people, including myself initially, slide back into old patterns once home.

​I became a trainer at that same Spanish retreat, then dove deep into health coaching and behavioural change psychology. When a herniated disc forced me to discover yoga and meditation, I realised these weren't just "flexible people" practices, they were missing pieces of the wellness puzzle.

The Missing Element: After experiencing everything from military-style boot camps to silent meditation retreats, I identified what was lacking: a place that combines effective transformation with sustainable habit-building, delivered in an environment that feels like a wellness holiday, not punishment.
